Our afternoon in San Jose draws to a rainy close! Today’s accomplishments:
- Survived turbulent descent through afternoon thunderstorms
- Faked out a shady cab driver and got a legit airport taxi to our hotel
- Were rained on constantly!
- Actually found our hotel and enjoyed its beautiful garden with foohoosia
- Accidentally brought too many large bills into a very small store and being unable to buy water because the storekeeper didn’t have enough change
- Found a place for dinner and used Spanish to order! The poor waiter was so patient with us…until he gave up and used English.
- Tried new foods at dinner and made funny faces at the fish taste
- Saw an excellent advert for profesor gringo Gary from TV. Is Gary pronounced like harry? 😉
- Spilled water from the spigot in the main hall everywhere trying to fill our water bottles and ran away very quickly
- Watched cabin in the woods in Spanish, and then found more movies on tbs in English
Tomorrow, it’s off to arenal!
